Spacious and sporty
Great auto, does good in snow, smooth drive.. much more spacious so previous Jettas. Has speed! Can literally go from 0mph to 40mph in half a 2d. Offers sportsmode shift which pretty much ways louder and faster. Sleek and polish pattern. Sound is great. Very comfortable! I could sleep in drivers seat, easily. I practice wish I had heated seats though because the leather seats tin be actually cold in wintertime. Honestly no complaints besides wishing I had the upgrades like ashtray, moon roof, etc. Good gas mileage, takes 23 to make full tank and I can go a week before filling upward, about 27 miles per gallon. If you lot have a Volkswagen I recommend using premium gas and taking care of it. Volkswagens can be peachy cars and run skilful upwards to 300k miles, if you take care of them! Change oil, become spark plugs changed occasionally, pocket-size maintenance will lengthen your cars life! I am a 3rd fourth dimension Volkswagen owner, great cars. Very impressed with how safety they feel and how good they exercise in snow.

I bought this automobile at 40,000 miles. Had a problem with stalling since twenty-four hour period one. Took it back to the dealer time and time once again with "information technology's fine". Continued to stall random times. And then finally at 80,000 miles the engine sounded awful, took it in and they're trying to tell me I demand a whole new engine and turbo. Which comes at a hefty $11,000 engine and Lord knows how much for the turbo. I volition never purchase a VW over again.

Tons of Problems - 2014 VW Jetta

I bought the car brand new in 2014. The problem started early on prior to my get-go recommended Oil Change (10k miles). Pay attention. Here are the list of problems: i) Before 10k miles - loud racket at the rear of the auto when I striking a bump or even a pocket-size pot hole. Information technology sounded similar a weak suspension , but the dealer could not detect the noise trouble. Brought the automobile to the dealer several times with no success. So I just allow it go. I should have been more than insistent and complained more than. All the same, the noise no longer there for some other 10k or so miles. And so again, the dissonance came back at effectually 23k miles and again complained about it at the dealership and again no detection of the noise or no resolve any. 2) Gas consumption is not every bit skilful. Getting at least 18mpg in well-nigh cases. This is a iv cylinder engine, two.0L Non Turbo. 3) Though the motorcar is well maintained considering I bulldoze information technology more than than the norm, at 68k miles the heater core failed (No Rut) and had information technology replaced including the Thermostat plus Coolant Flush service. I paid over $yard for the job. Though I complained to VW (the company itself) - they said they can't practise annihilation about it every bit far as helping me with the cost of repair. I still call back the heater cadre problem is also early to be broken. 4) At present 10k more miles later on (at 78k miles) this Jetta overheated. Dealer said I demand a new Radiator coz it has a crack and need to replace the coolant reservoir tank. The price of parts and labor to practice the job is about $900. I called VW - the company to complain about the quality of the radiator. That it is likewise early to have that kind of problem . No assist from VW whatsoever. What I'grand maxim is this, I have endemic a few Japanese cars earlier and never had this kind of problem early on the years of the auto. As a matter of fact, several Japs car I sold or traded in I never had to supercede the heater core or radiator even at very high mileage. Just imagine my 2014 Jetta and already take such headache problems and plush likewise. SO Y'all Be THE JUDGE if you are considering getting a Jetta. And remember the Major Recollect it had with their Diesel fuel Engines. VERY DISAAPOINTED AND REGRET HAVING A JETTA.

I purchased a 2014 Jetta GLI it has been ii years and it is already falling autonomously. The drivers door rattles it makes current of air noise and that window squeaks when I curlicue information technology down. The sunroof sometimes squeaks and the passenger door handle sticks. The motorcar is practiced every bit far as operation gos and information technology looks good. The car has a great steering bicycle and shifter just that is the only leather. It is a comfortable car for small-scale trips but if you accept large trips like me it get uncomfortable. The fuel economy is good.

2014 Jetta Sedan TDI Update

I wrote my original review exactly 2 years agone today, so I idea I would provide an update. Notwithstanding the current diesel issue, it is a car that I withal actually honey. It at present has approximately 30k and has had null problems. I am averaging 48MPG on the highway in warmer weather. For some reason, it is slightly lower in the winter. It still drives very well around boondocks and the highway, and is even good in the snow. My only very minor complaint is the transmission feels a niggling "notchy" as described by other VW owners, and I concur. Just a minor badgerer as the manual is otherwise very smooth. The large questions. Would I buy another VW, another diesel or a Jetta? Diesel-absolutely! Jetta yes. VW-probably.

This whole experience with VW has been a NIGHTMARE! Seriously, I ordinarily don't write reviews merely this experience is SO BAD that I'thou gonna take my fourth dimension to exit the review. Information technology's THE WORSE customer service feel in the auto industry! I DID Not expect that from VW, honestly. Start of, this has been going on for 5 months. I was lament about fuel consumption of the car (14 mpg on two liter engine) since September. I took the automobile to the dealerships 4 times! 3 times - to Royal, and 1 - to Serramonte. They both JUST REJECTED not but to fix the issue simply even to examination the car properly!! Royal told me that I take to pay for the test myself! WHY? The car IS on WARRANTY! That's the reason why a bought the new car! When my car was at Royal they gave me a rental auto which I paid for twice more than they have reimbursed. Serramonte only declined giving me a spare car or reimbursing any taxi expenses! None of them got whatever closer to fixing the consequence! And now the representative is telling me that I should accept the car to the other dealership in Oakland for the 5th time! I guess it will be becoming just farther and further from my home until I pass up driving all the manner there and be without a machine for a day or ii!! I know other people who complained the same mode almost the feel with VW and their stories were similar just non regarding the fuel consumption. And as I already told the Volkswagen representatives: "EVEN IF Yous FINALLY Examination THE Machine PROPERLY AND Information technology WILL Bear witness THAT At that place IS Aught BROKEN IN THE Car I AM However NOT OK WITH THIS CAR AND You MUST Take IT Back!!! BECAUSE I WAS BUYING A CAR WITH 24 MPG AVERAGE, AND Not 14!!! I WOULD Not RECOMMEND THIS CAR Fifty-fifty TO AN ENEMY!

I drove a 2001 Jetta GL with 2.0 engine and five speed manual for 14 years. Information technology was very dependable and a smashing car. I purchased my 2014 Jetta SE in March of 2014. It has been a bully car too. The new 1.8T motor is a good one. Mileage is 32-33 mpg to and from work and tops out at about 40 mpg on the highway. Uses regular gas too! The 6 speed automated transmission is set upwards to proceed rpm's depression unless yous use the sport mode. Lots of power too when you step on the gas pedal. Merging onto the motorway is piece of cake with lots of power to spare. The interior is simple and functional. No learning curve hither. Doesn't have a lot of confusing buttons and levers. Y'all know what everything does from the very beginning. Nice dash layout. The exterior is simple merely pleasing. The ride is business firm but non harsh. Seats are very supportive and comfortable. The drive railroad train is very smoothen and quiet. In that location is no current of air noise. Handling is very skilful equally well with little or no body lean in quick turns. Interior room is very generous (I am six'1") as is body space. I have over 12,000 miles now and have had no bug. I didn't get the connectivity upgrade equally I am not a big whistles and bells guy. Overall, I am very pleased with this car. Incidently my wife and my dad both drive Jettas. We have purshased our last 4 cars at the same VW dealer and have been well treated. The but things I would change would be to put a pressurized cylinder on the hood replacing the prop rod, a temperature guage in the dash and the 2001 style hinges on the torso instead of the goose neck arms that have away some usable body space.

I recently purchased the base Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 with a v speed transmission. I was a bit disappointed with the engine, its a 2.0 four cylinder that simply makes 115 hp. Volkswagen has neglected to updated it, because it is at least a 12 year quondam design. There are pluses and minuses to this. First, off everyone says that this engine is going to outlast the auto because of its tired but true blueprint, On the other side it is a fleck slow, when I'm shifting with the 5 speed I really take to wait for the engine to build upwardly before I shift. If non information technology just loses power. Even so, the fuel economy is insane! With my light I have achieved 34 mpg in mixed driving. Afterwards a highway run I got 39 mpg! That's great and it has a lot to do with the shifter which is superior, each shift is very smooth and precise. Clutch travel it very long and it picks up at the end, nonetheless, you get used to it. Within quality is very good, however, like the engine the electronics are a bit outdated. Overall, even though I have simply put 1500 miles on it, its great. So far there are no problems with information technology. This car is a great value purchase - its fuel efficient, roomy, has corking fuel economy, and good build quality!

I went to the dealership last week and bought my daughter her showtime car from a salesman named Romy. He was the nicest salesman I have ever had the pleasure to bargain with. He is a "no pressure level" salesman who is very knowledgeable about their vehicles and financing programs. I got a fantastic deal from Romy that didn't require all the "back and forth" salesman tricks that would yous usually expect when you buy a car. Romy made my deal like shooting fish in a barrel and it happened fast - I paid the toll I wanted to pay and the paperwork was completed in record time. I would definitely buy another car from Romy in the time to come - he is a guy you tin can trust!!!

I've had an 2000 TDI for 11 years. It has been reliable overall. Information technology now has 274,000 miles. The interior was terrible and everything breaks on the early 2000's years just the drive train has been fantabulous overall. The only poor engine design with my old one was the need to have a timing belt replaced every 60k miles at about thousand.00 per replacement. I just bought a 2014 and am hoping for similar reliability. The interior appears to be more durable than my old one. The power is noticeably better although the 2000 was always ok. I withal go nearly 47 MPG on the 2000 and got nigh 50 MPG on my first tank on the 2014. My second tank wasn't as good with but well-nigh 43 MPG only absolutely I was on the gas pedal more than. Another immediate improvement on my 2014 is that information technology no longer requires the timing belt replacement every 60k. One thing I have constitute on the Jetta's is they come with a lot of extras which are only bachelor an options on other cars I looked at in the similar price range.

Beloved the torque the two.0 TDI has can accept some steep hills without downshifting. Had some early trouble with the TPMS system but dealer reprogramed it an everything seems fine now. Its amazing how much leg room is in the front end of these cars, I am half dozen'2" and ordinarily have the seat all the manner back on virtually cars merely not this one and that leaves a lot of rear leg room also. wished you could become information technology with standard tires not the low profile ones every bit I live on a gravel road. merely overall I really similar the car.

I had to trade in my Ram 1500 quad cab for something for economical and family-friendly. I institute the Due south model Jetta, which is 115 hp versus the 340 hp I was used to. I must say that after reading the reviews I was skeptical, merely I test drove one anyway. The horse power is depression, but the torque makes upwards for it. I also test drove an SE, and the divergence in power to me was minimal. Sure the interior is a little blah, simply if you consider yourself slightly more than a minimalist OR y'all know enough about vehicles to realize you can buy aftermarket accessories, and then the S model is just fine. The 2.0 not-turbo, as I stated, has enough torque to make up for the lack of horsies, and I accept however to accept whatsoever complaints. The tranny offers some diversity for those who wish to be more than active during the driving procedure- the S has a very responsive electronic shifter. If you need bells and whistles and feel the demand to impress those effectually you, then buy a GLI or TDI with the all the fixins- the S model is non for you. As far as the S model, the toll point, the performance and rubber features, and the basic do good of German engineering should plenty for those who require value and reliability without the bank business relationship to buy a Audi.

Needed a new car for my 100 mile round trip commute everyday and I couldn't be happier with my 2014 Jetta TDI. I chose the next-to-the-tiptop trim which includes a sunroof, Fender 6-speaker system (which totally rocks, btw) touchscreen satttelite/6-CD radio and bluetooth/Ipod connectivity. I've put on 7500 miles on it in three months with a combination of almost 75% highway and 25% urban center and consistently get 35-40 mpg. I was very surpised by the snappy pickup and treatment from the turbo 2.0, lots of fun to bulldoze while rocking out to Hair Nation on the satellite radio. Larger than expected truck and backseat. I'm a large guy and the only minor complaint is entering and exiting the vehicle. In one case y'all're in though, in that location'south plenty of leg and headroom. A/C organisation is a bit on the noisy side, but I'll trade in a little noise for an efficient system anyday here in the San Antonio heat. The extended gratis maintenance (v years) and warranty (7 years) were also big factors in choosing the Jetta TDI as this is my first diesel. Overall it has exceeded all expectations.

I recently purchased the Value Edition Jetta TDi and I am quite taken with the 'value' in this car. I am going through a mid life crisis and wanted to discover a car that was fun to bulldoze again now that my child is all grown up and I don't need a mommy wagon any more. I have ever loved Japanese manufacturers for their reliability and their practical styles, merely couldn't get both fun driving and good fuel economic system in the same car on any of the models I drove. I searched for months for but the right vehicle. I still have my mommy railroad vehicle and so the need was non rushed. Just it got quite frustrating over that time. And then my son suggested I try the TDi since it has spunk and gets excellent fuel economic system. Well, he was right! The diesel engine is quiet and not at all like old schoolhouse diesels of the past. The torso feels solid and the automobile feels heavy which makes me experience safe behind the wheel. I am enjoying having a standard manual, the 6 speed is something new for me. I am averaging 46 mpg, and that is impressive in itself but the thing I am actually sold on is the option up this motorcar has when needed. I forgot how fun driving can be. The value edition has all the bells and whistles I need and and then far I only have issue with the sedan part, as I tin can't quite fit everything in the dorsum of this motorcar. I wish I could take spent the exte $5000 for the wagon but all in all, its a smashing car.

I purchased a 2014 Jetta TDI three weeks ago and am really impressed. Originally, I didn't even accept the Jetta on my "considering" list, but subsequently a test drive I was hooked. Went from a large gas guzzling SUV to the Jetta and just love it. I was getting around 14mpg combined with my prior SUV and am now getting 36 city and 48 highway. I was a bit leary of a diesel and idea information technology would be sluggish and loud to drive. Having driven it for a few weeks, I am really surprised how quick the car really is. Pulling out in traffic or passing on the highway is quick and easy. As for the dissonance, at idle you can tell it is a diesel but non that much more than the gas version. On the highway their is no diesel sound and very little current of air noise. The terminal affair I really like is the ride. Information technology is very controlled with the normal highway bumps barely being noticed. To sum, the Jetta TDI gets fantastic gas mileage, is quick and easy to drive.
